Dr Eddie Falvey

Eddie is the pastoral mentor for the CDF department. With a background lecturing in film and other media studies, Eddie joined the department in 2025 to provide pastoral care for all taught students. 

He cares deeply about the wellbeing of students, is sensitive to the demands of student life, and has experience providing tailored support for a range of needs. Moreover, his academic background also makes him well suited to helping students navigate the transition to university.    

Outside of his current role, Eddie has recently started a company in physical media distribution. He also continues to work on academic projects in his spare time, loves watching (and endlessly discussing) obscure films from around the world, and is currently writing a novel.
