Georgia Achilleopoulou

Georgia Achilleopoulou holds an MFA in Performance Training (University of Plymouth), an MA in International Relations and Management Studies (University of Aberdeen), and is a member of HEVTA (Hellenic Voice Teachers Association). She is currently in the fourth year of her practice-based PhD with a scholarship at University of Exeter under Professor Konstantinos Thomaidis and and Professor Adrian Curtin supervision. Her research focuses on physiovocal integration and devising with autobiography within the musical theatre genre, with a focus on new pedagoies and musical theatre forms that seek to empower and cultivate the agency of women's voices. 

She teaches Voice and Speech and she is a Head of Musical Theatre at Traga Drama School in Athens, and also teaches the Body Voice performance training course at the National Conservatory. Alongside her research and teaching, she is a singer and performer. As a vocalist and pedagogue, she specialises in contemporary commercial music and musical theatre vocal styles.
