Sarah Scaife (she/her)

My current PhD explores Medicines of Uncertainty, drawing on lived-experience of life after cancer treatment. As a visual and sound artist, and postgraduate researcher in Creative Health, my methods are practice-based and often participatory. This enquiry is concerned with finding medicine in a re-imagining of deep uncertainty.

This PhD is co-supervised by Dr Bryan Brown, University of Exeter (Department of Communications, Drama and Film) and Dr Maria Vaccarella, University of Bristol (Department of English). It is funded by the South, West and Wales Doctoral Training Partnership for UK Research and Innovation (UKRI). I have an ongoing collaboration in the community with Soundart Radio 102.5FM.
