Sarah Scaife (she/her)

I am an artist and trans-disciplinary postgraduate researcher in Creative Health. My PhD enquiry explores Medicines of Uncertainty, asking if and how the potent space of creative uncertainty can refine and expand the closed stories we tell culturally around health uncertainty. This enquiry combines practice-based, participatory and creative methods, bringing in voices from my own and others' lived-experience, particularly after cancer treatment.

This PhD is co-supervised by Dr Bryan Brown, University of Exeter (Department of Communications, Drama and Film) and Dr Maria Vaccarella, University of Bristol (Department of English), and funded by the South, West and Wales Doctoral Training Partnership for UK Research and Innovation (UKRI). I have an ongoing collaboration in the community with Soundart Radio 102.5FM.
