Sarah Scaife is an artist and postgraduate researcher in Creative Health (Arts & Health Humanities). Her PhD reimagines uncertainty after cancer treatment. This Medicines of Uncertainty enquiry combines practice-based, participatory and creative methods, bringing in voices from her own and others' lived-experience.
Creative Health should form an integral part of a 21st-century health and social care system – one that is holistic, person-centred, and which focuses on reducing inequalities and supporting people to live well for longer. NCCH and CHWA national briefing 2024: What is Creative Health?
This PhD is co-supervised by Dr Bryan Brown, University of Exeter (Department of Communications, Drama and Film) and Dr Maria Vaccarella, University of Bristol (Department of English), and funded by the South, West and Wales Doctoral Training Partnership for UK Research and Innovation (UKRI).
